High Bond Screen:

​

High Bond screen lamination inks were originally formulated to overcome lamination issues with highly pigmented inks such as Pearls or White. With the demands from end users for Higher Bond strengths and more durable cards; High Bond inks are now available across a wider range of colours and effects. The correct use of High Bond inks should readily yield bonds of 8-10 Newtons/centimetre.

Standard Laminating Inks:

These inks from Apollo Colours are a well established industry leader, offering low odour and exceptional press performance as well as bonds greater than ISO standards.

Water Based Screen:

Water Based Laminating Inks are formulated for printing onto PVC for the production of plastic cards. These inks are intended to replace solvent based inks where there is a need or a requirement to reduce VOC (Volatile Organic Content) emissions. Water Based Laminating Inks provide very high lamination bond strengths when compared to other technologies. The inks are also water reducible and exhibit extremely low odour. In addition, screens can be cleaned up with water.

UVILAM UV Laminating Screen:

UVILAM screen inks are a UV curing system designed to combine instant drying and almost infinite screen stability. This range of inks is designed for printing onto PVC material as used for card manufacture. UVILAM inks can be used with coated overlay, or a laminating varnish such as S2871 or S4684 applied before lamination. Due to various grades of PVC used for producing cards, it is essential to test the lamination qualities before commencing a production run.

Apollo is famous for their extensive range of Metallic and Pearlescent inks, being approved for VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. Apollo also produces a variety of pearl inks suitable for use on their own, as a primer for overprinting or as an overprint.
